Personalisation

Embroidery

Thread stitched into fabric — the personalisation that outlasts the day, softens with every wash, and never peels away.

The craft

Stitched to stay

Embroidery stitches your design directly into the fabric with coloured thread, giving names, monograms and motifs a raised texture and depth no print can match. Because the design is part of the garment rather than sitting on top of it, it won't crack, fade or peel — it lasts the life of the piece and survives wash after wash after wash.

That permanence is exactly why we reach for it first on anything meant to be kept: the robe from the morning of the wedding, the crew sweatshirts worn long after the hen weekend, the keepsakes that get passed around for years.

A little deeper

How your design becomes stitches

01

Digitised, not printed

Every design is first converted into a stitch file — a map of thousands of individual stitches, their direction and their density. It's a craft in itself, and it's the difference between embroidery that looks flat and embroidery that catches the light.

02

Thread, fonts & colour

We match thread to your palette from hundreds of shades, and set names and monograms in styles from clean block letters to flowing script. Thread has a sheen that flat ink doesn't — colours read richer and warmer.

03

Placement & size

Chest, cuff, hip, corner of a towel — placement changes the whole feel. We'll advise what suits each piece, and where embroidery has limits: very fine lines and text under about 5 mm are better served by print.

Embroidery or print?

The honest answer: it depends on the piece. Here's how we'd decide — and if you're still not sure, just ask.

Choose embroidery when…

  • It's a keepsake — something worn or used for years, washed often
  • You want texture and a premium, tactile finish
  • The fabric is structured or plush: robes, sweatshirts, towels, canvas
  • The design is bold — names, initials, monograms, simple motifs

Print might suit better when…

  • The design has fine detail, gradients or photographic elements
  • The text is very small or the linework is delicate
  • It's a light t-shirt with a large front graphic
  • It's a fun one-day piece where budget matters more than longevity

What to stitch

The best things to embroider

Embroidery loves structure and softness — fabric with enough body to hold a stitch. These are the pieces it was made for.

Bridal robes

The morning-of photo everyone takes. A name or "Bride" across the back, or initials at the cuff — worn again long after the day.

Sweatshirts & hoodies

Hen weekends and bridal crews. Heavier fabric takes a stitch beautifully, and it becomes the jumper they never take off.

Towels & waffle robes

His-and-hers sets and thank-you gifts for the bridal party. Embroidery is the only finish that survives a towel's life.

Tote bags

Welcome bags and bridesmaid gifts on sturdy canvas — a stitched name lifts a simple tote into a keepsake.

Napkins & keepsakes

Names and dates on linen napkins and heirloom pieces, the gifts that get kept and passed on.

Caps & extras

Structured caps, scrunchies, ribbon details — small stitched touches that pull a whole party look together.

How it works

From artwork to stitch

01

Share your idea

Send us your design, initials or wording — or just the idea, and we'll draw it up.

02

We digitise

We convert the artwork into a stitch file and match thread colours to your palette.

03

Approve the proof

You see exactly how it will stitch — placement, size and colours — before a needle moves.

04

Stitched in-house

Embroidered on our machines in Dublin and checked by hand before it leaves the studio.

Good to know

What artwork do you need from me?

Whatever you have — a logo file, a sketch, or just the words and a font you like. We digitise everything in-house, so you don't need print-ready artwork.

Is there a minimum order?

"No minimum — we embroider single pieces as happily as full bridal parties."

Can you embroider items I supply?

We accept supplied garments with the note that embroidery is permanent and supplied items are stitched at the owner's risk.

How long does it take?

Most orders are stitched within 3–7 working days once the proof is approved; let us know your date and we'll always prioritise a wedding."

How do I care for embroidered pieces?

Wash inside out on a gentle cycle and avoid ironing directly over the stitches — that's it. Embroidery routinely outlives the garment it's on.
