The paper
Our Paper Stocks
Every piece we make starts with the sheet. From our everyday house stocks to Italian mill papers you'll want to run a thumb over — this is what your day gets printed on.
Paper is the first thing guests feel.
The everyday heroes
Our house stocks
The two papers behind most of what we print — dependable, beautiful, and always in the studio.
Silk
Our most popular choice. A smooth, low-sheen coated surface that gives printed colour a clean, crisp finish — designs come out exactly as sharp as they looked on screen. The safe pair of hands for menus, signage and full-colour prints.
Uncoated
Natural, matte and lovely to write on. Uncoated paper softens printed colour ever so slightly and takes ink like it means it — the classic choice for invitations, RSVP cards and anything with a fountain pen in its future.
The speciality shelf
Italian mill papers
For the pieces that deserve more, we stock a small, carefully chosen shelf of Fedrigoni papers — textured, weighty, and made to be touched.
Tintoretto
A finely textured Italian classic with a soft, felt-marked surface that catches the light. Gesso is a warm, gentle off-white; Neve a clean bright white — both beautiful printed, foiled or embossed.
Old Mill
Made the traditional way with a rounded, felt-marked texture, Old Mill has a quiet, handmade character. Premium White sits between warm and bright — the invitation paper that feels like an heirloom.
Materica
Thick, chalky and intensely tactile — Materica feels closer to cotton than paper. Gesso is a soft chalk white; Verdigris a muted botanical green. Made for deep embossing and blind impressions.
Sirio Ultra Black
Black through and through — not printed black, but a rich, deep black in the sheet itself. Pair it with gold or white foil for place cards and details with real drama.
Sirio Color Dark Blue
A deep, inky navy dyed through the sheet — quietly formal and very Meridian. Foiled names and celestial details sit beautifully on it; a candlelit table does the rest.
The shelf grows — ask us about papers you've seen and loved.
A little guidance
Matching paper to technique
For full-colour print
Silk and Uncoated are made for it — and Tintoretto Neve when a printed piece deserves texture. Crisp colour, dependable results, any quantity.
For foil & emboss
The textured Italians — Tintoretto, Old Mill and above all Materica — take foil and deep impressions beautifully. Weight and texture make the luxury.
For the dramatic
The Sirio papers are coloured through the sheet, so they aren't printed — they're foiled. Gold on Ultra Black or Dark Blue is the boldest thing we make.
